Eric is currently working towards his next Exhibition in Spennymoor's Town Hall Gallery in mid-March. He is currently drawing some sketches of times remembered from his childhood and growing up in the 50's and 60's in and around Shildon. The four paintings he completed last year proved very popular and sold quickly (follow this link to view them on our website).
The brand new original watercolour, titled 'The Swinging 60's' in Bishop Auckland sold last week, however limited edition prints are still available to purchase via the website or the Gallery.
I'm off skiing next week, but the Gallery will be open normal hours as the non-hired help will be here (aka Mam n Dad...). When I say skiing though, I use the term very lightly, in that, I can get down the mountains (slight hills) but not with any great style or finess.
Eric is planning to draw out some of his new sketches here at the shop while he's looking after it for me, so feel free to pop in to catch him in action, and then wonder how he produces such nice work from such a messy paint pallet !!!

Last week I introducted a range of Triptych prints to Bondgate Gallery. Each of these have 1 Landscape Print, flanked by 2 Square's.

Miniature Range
Gift Box Sets
Following the very successful introduction of a range of Gift Boxes in Bondgate Gallery, I have expanded the range available. Each Gift Box contains a set of four miniature limited edition Giclee prints by Eric Thompson (un-framed) and a Certificate of Authenticity.
The set of 4 prints to go in each box are now 'mix and match'. You can select any four prints from our range to go into the box. Keep in mind that any landscape pictures do have to be cropped to fit the square format.
These Gift Boxes will make an excellent present and are priced at a very low £20 each. As of today the 17th May, these are now available to buy here on-line, just follow this link.

Handmade speciality glassware
We have, in the Gallery, lovely pieces of handmade contemporary glass, by glass artist Nikki Williams.
The pieces include a handmade Sculpture, Flow Bowl, Perfume Bottle, Paperweights and Beautiful Hearts.
